The 37th San Francisco Jazz Festival (SFJAZZ) promises the most unforgettable event in its history, featuring the best in Jazz. To honor its 36 years, the festival hailed by London's The Observer as the "biggest and probably the best Jazz festival in the world", presents a phenomenal array of concerts: legendary masters alongside groundbreaking newcomers, time-honored traditions mixed with bold exploration, and players and sounds from around the globe as well as from California's Bay Area.

Debuting in 1983, the San Francisco Jazz Festival is a celebration of today's best music, with over 30 concerts. Produced by SFJAZZ, a non-profit organization dedicated to Jazz and Jazz education. Each year, a phenomenal array of Jazz concerts, from the classic to the avant-garde, gathering the legends of today and the rising stars of tomorrow in premier venues throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area.

SFJAZZ continues to challenge tradition each fall as it puts together an artist roster that combines the best of the best from all corners of the world and the whole universe of Jazz. Known for assembling "a range of music and artists rarely seen in a Jazz series" (San Jose Mercury News), its season will be one of the longest running. The line-up is tantamount to an international summit of the finest Jazz players from around the world. As always, proceeds from the festival benefit SFJAZZ's music education programs in Bay Area schools.

The 2019 San Francisco Jazz Festival artist line-up includes Roy Ayers, Eric Alexander, Eric Reed, Chris Potter, Kenny Garrett, Sarah Mckenzie, Delvon Lamarr, Calvin Keys, Tia Fuller, Claudia Villela, Jazzmeia Horn, Jose James, Sona Jobarteh, Fabian Almazan & Rhizome, Linda May Han Oh, Mark De Clive-Lowe, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Eric Revis, Dave King, Felix Peikli, Orquesta Akokan, Anoushka Shankar, Hristo Vitchev, Bobi Cespedes, Hristo Vitchev, Sasha Berliner, The Cookers, Chico Pinheiro, Kurt Ribak, Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, William Bell, Nicolas Bearde and Dakhabrakha.
