Jazz Piano Lessons

Jazz piano lessons are held in person at our San Diego music studio (webcam) located in Little Italy.

Motivated, serious students accepted at all levels & beginners are welcome. Lessons are individually planned for your level of experience & goals. Learn Jazz Standards, Broadway, Latin, Rock & the Blues. Piano and voice lessons are taught by Professor D C DowDell.

Pianists:  In depth study for Jazz theory & harmony, chord voicings, altered chords & substitutions, improvisation, fills & soloing, accompaniment, lead sheets & fake book study, scale & mode use, chord progressions & rhythm development.

Vocalists:  Learn to accompany yourself on the piano, develop your vocal range & tessitura. Find your keys & transpose your tunes to build a song list & perform with other musicians. Strengthen stage presence, intonation, phrasing, timing & expression.
