Caramoor Jazz Festival

The Caramoor International Music Festival is considered to be one of the top five music festivals in the US. Caramoor has a longstanding reputation among musicians, listeners and the press as a wonderful celebration of great music in one of the loveliest settings anywhere.

Every Summer, Caramoor's Spanish Courtyard and Venetian Theater present outstanding concerts performed by renowned artists. Each concert season continues to offer the variety, originality and sparkle that audiences have come to expect from Caramoor. In addition to many classical music events, Caramoor features its annual Jazz Festival. This forty-year-plus tradition of presenting the best classical and Jazz musicians in the most beautiful of settings has made the Caramoor International Music Festival one of the New York metropolitan areas pre-eminent summer events.

Among the performing artists for the 2011 season were Renee Rosnes, Fred Hersch, Steve Nelson, Peter Washington, Lewis Nash, Christian McBride, Joshua Redman, Aaron Parks, Matt Penman, Eric Harland, Lucky Peterson, Tamara Peterson, Todd Parsnow, Mike Nunno, Mike Nappi, John Scofield, Jason Moran, Edmar Castaneda, Andrea Tierra, Marshall Gilkes, Dave Silliman, Nico Gori, Robert Glasper, Michael Eckroth, Scott Colley, Bill Stewart, Tarus Mateen, Nasheet Waits and many more.

The 2011 Caramoor Jazz Festival was held August 5 to 7.
