![]() Sheet Music!Jazz Improvisation Method BooksJazz & Blues Sheet Music Standards ![]() Jazz Piano Chords and Scales | French Quarter Jazz Festival![]() The French Quarter Jazz Festival is Louisiana's largest free music event, a three-day local talent music showcase scattered throughout the Bourbon Street district (French Quarter) as well as Jackson Square and Woldenberg Riverfront Park in New Orleans, Louisiana. There are music performances on 15 stages. Nearly 500,000 visitors and locals will fill the French Quarter for the 24th annual French Quarter Jazz Festival. The 2011 artist line-up included Waylon Thibodeaux, Charmaine Neville, Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse Revue, Lost Bayou Ramblers, Boogieman's Friend, Fats Jazz Cats, Thelonious Monk Institute Ensemble, Osaka Hot Cats, New Bumpers Revival Jazz Band, Borderland Dixieband Austria, Connie Jones & French Quarter Festival All Stars, Banu Gibson & New Orleans Hot Jazz, Swingaroux, Lionel Ferbos & Louisiana Shakers, Pfister Sisters, Dukes Of Dixieland, Lillian Boutte, Los Hombres Calientes, Bonerama, Spirit of New Orleans Brass Band, One Mind Brass Band, Iris May, Kipori Woods, Bag of Donuts, Zydecosis, Tank & Zydeco Codebreakers, Benny Grunch & Bunch, Kim Carson & Enablers, Soul Project, Irene Sage Band, Coco Robicheaux & Swamp Monsters and many more local and International stars. The 2012 artist line-up will be announced soon. The four day weekend festival is always free and there is no cost to attend any of the performances. The only costs are for food, beverage and merchandise purchases on festival grounds and certain off-site special events. The 2012 event is held April 12 to 15.
